This course introduces students to the fundamental techniques of phase separation and the essential principles of chromatographic analysis, which are widely used in analytical and industrial chemistry. Students will explore the theoretical background, practical procedures, and applications of these methods in separating, identifying, and quantifying components in complex mixtures.

The course covers classical separation techniques such as extraction, distillation, filtration, crystallization, and centrifugation, which form the basis for effective sample preparation. It then transitions to a detailed study of chromatographic methods including Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and others.
